About Pong

Pong is a video game released originally as a coin-operated arcade game by Atari Inc. on November 29, 1972. Pong is based on the sport of table tennis (or “ping pong”), and named after the sound generated by the circuitry when the ball is hit. The word Pong is a registered trademark of Atari Interactive, while the term “pong” is used to describe the genre of “bat and ball” video games. Pong is often regarded as the world’s first video arcade game, but Computer Space by Nutting Associates had been launched a year earlier in 1971. Pong was the first video game to achieve widespread popularity in both arcade and home console versions, and launched the initial boom in the video game industry. This is currently a simple gadget to show Azureus's current total Download and Upload speed in the Vista Sidebar. It uses the HTML Web UI plugin to get its details. Azureus is the popular Java based Bit torrent client. It supports username and pssword as well as a configureable refresh rate. In the flyout it has the top 15 torrents being downloaded and their % complete.

About Azureus Sidebar Gadget

Azureus Vuze (formerly Azureus) is a BitTorrent client. Like other BitTorrent clients, it is used to transfer files via the BitTorrent protocol, a mechanism for peer-to-peer file sharing over a network. Azureus is written in Java programming language.

In 2003, the core developers of Azureus formed a company called Vuze, Inc. (formerly Azureus, Inc.) Vuze, Inc. offers legal downloads of content over the BitTorrent network.

About Magic 8-Ball Sidebar Widget

The Magic 8-Ball, manufactured by Mattel, is a toy used for fortune-telling. Invented in 1946 by Abe Bookman of the Alabe Toy Company, it is a hollow, plastic sphere resembling an oversized, black and white 8-ball. Inside is a white, plastic, icosahedral die floating in a dark blue liquid. Each of the 20 faces of the die has an affirmative, negative, or non-committal statement printed on it in raised letters. There is a transparent window on the bottom of the 8-ball through which these messages can be read.

To use the ball, it must be held with the window initially facing down. After “asking the ball” a yes-or-no question, the user then turns the ball so that the window faces up, setting in motion the liquid and die inside. When the die floats to the top and one of its faces is pressed against the window, the raised letters displace the blue liquid to reveal the message as white letters on a blue background. Contrary to popular belief, it is not necessary (or recommended) to shake or jostle the ball before turning it, as doing so can create air bubbles that may visually distort the answer.
